Have you ever considered a
holiday in Dorset?
|

Poole Beach |
|
Poole and Bournemouth
are noted for their tourist attractions. Poole claims some of the best
beaches in the United Kingdom. For the past ten years, they have been
given the top award for the cleanest beaches.
Poole can claim the
largest natural harbour in the country and possibly the world. It has
a coast line of approximately seventy miles! It is well worth a visit
for any tourist. There are many boat trips from the quayside to visit
the islands in the harbour such as
Brownsea Island. Visitors may also travel further a field,
even to Guernsey or Jersey.

|
The tourist arriving
here may well be overwhelmed with the variety of experiences on offer
as they pick up an abundant variety of leaflets of attractions in the
area that are all worthy of a visit.
Poole itself is also
known for its pottery, with the
Poole Pottery shop and pottery
experience down on the quayside. There is also a large selection of
shops in the town centre, which is only a short distance away. |

combine scenery, coastal attractions and places of interest would do well to
visit the Poole and Bournemouth area. They will find many attractive chine’s
leading down to beautiful golden sands. Families are also offered a number
of places to visit should the weather be dull or wet. Why not look at the
Poole Tourism website for up-to-date information on local tourist
activities. Then there’s also the
Bournemouth Tourist
Information to
investigate. |
|
By way of added interest, Poole Tourism arranges for firework displays from
the Sandbanks beaches or Quayside every Thursday night in the summer.
There are several places of real interest within an hours car drive away,
such as Winchester,
Salisbury, Dorchester and Portsmouth. In Portsmouth you
will find many interesting places to visit including the

creation museum.
